Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Claims Adjuster to join our team at Wawanesa Insurance. As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional claims service to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate and settle claims in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible outcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate claims to determine liability and ensure accurate policy coverage
  • Evaluate information from various sources, including appraisers, third-party adjusters, and contractors, to quantify losses
  • Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to adjust claims from inception to completion
  • Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English
  • Ability to obtain a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) within 6 months of being hired
  • Excellent customer service skills, including empathy and concern for customers
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry
  • Strong negotiation skills
