Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Auto Claims Adjuster to join our team at Wawanesa Insurance. As an Auto Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional claims service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate losses to determine liability and ensure fair and equitable adjustments
  • Evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third-party adjusters, contractors, and repair facilities to quantify losses
  • Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution
  • Adjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive manner, maintaining accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system
  • Remain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry

Requirements

  • Experience in insurance adjusting
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Possession of a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)
  • Possession of a Commercial Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is an asset
  • Working toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Effective customer service skills, including empathy and concern for our customers
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry
  • Strong negotiation skills
