About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team at Intact. As a Claims Adjuster Trainee, you will be responsible for gathering insureds' or witnesses' versions of events, determining whether the claim is covered, and analyzing the information obtained to make decisions on liability and damage assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze information to determine the validity of claims
  • Conduct interviews with insureds and witnesses to gather information
  • Analyze data to determine liability and damage assessments
  • Settle claims in a fair and equitable manner
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on their claims

Requirements:

  • College diploma or higher level of education OR three years of transferable full-time experience AND a high school diploma / vocational diploma (minimum 60 credits) / high school equivalency certificate / attestation of Secondary V equivalency
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work with computer systems
  • Ability to adapt to change in a constantly evolving environment
