Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Claims Adjuster to join our team at Wawanesa Insurance. As an Auto Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional claims service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate losses to determine liability and ensure fair and equitable adjustments.
- Evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third-party adjusters, contractors, and repair facilities to quantify losses.
- Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution.
- Adjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive manner, maintaining accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system.
- Remain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry.
Requirements
- Experience in insurance adjusting.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Possession of a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Possession of a Commercial Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is an asset.
- Working toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
- Effective customer service skills, including empathy and concern for our customers.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry.
- Strong negotiation skills.
