Academic Administrative Assistant Opportunity

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is a leading institution that prepares graduates for leadership in a digital world.

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Staff to join our team as an Academic Administrative Assistant. This role will provide administrative support for our academic programs, planning and coordinating events, and supporting the Associate Deans with budget management.

About the Role

As an Academic Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to inform decision-making processes;
  • Compiling course information and updating the course calendar with the Registrar's Office;
  • Greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and responding to specific requests regarding established policies and procedures;
  • Ensuring no conflicts with student timetables and resolving course conflicts with the appropriate office;
  • Monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and gathering data for reports, memos, and program activities;
  • Collecting, verifying, and inputting data into various spreadsheets and databases;
  • Monitoring and ordering office supplies;
  • Handling sensitive material according to established policies;
  • Making occasional evening and weekend work commitments to support University Operations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess and demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Able to multitask while staying flexible and highly organized;
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Office Administration or a related field of study;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and Brightspace (LMS).

Our estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
