Job Summary:
">The University of Niagara Falls Canada is seeking an Admissions Officer to facilitate the admission of domestic and international applicants into its programs. This role involves advising on admissions policies and processes, assessing applicant qualifications, and serving as the primary point of contact for assessment and evaluation inquiries.
Working closely with the Office of the Registrar and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will review, assess, and process admissions applications, evaluate supporting documents, and provide information to potential applicants regarding program availability and admissions criteria.
This is a challenging opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students.
About the Role:
">The Admissions Officer will be responsible for:
- Evaluating domestic and international transcripts and supporting documents to render admission decisions;
- Providing information to potential applicants regarding program availability and admissions criteria;
- Main liaison for admission-related inquiries and assistance between the University and external partners;
- Record and implement procedures to produce and maintain complete and accurate student admission and education records;
- Cordinating the evaluation of transfer credit for applicants and students;
- Maintaining effective working relationships with diverse group of students and employees;
- Ability to plan, organize and review the work of others engaged in similar tasks;
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum two-year post-secondary credential in Business, International Business, International Relations, Office Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
- Minimum two (2) years' experience working in administrative or clerical capacity within a culturally diverse and/or fast-paced global environment;
- Excellent communication, organization skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Basic training in office practices, customer service and communication;
- Proficient in Microsoft applications;
- Experience using student information systems and related software is considered an asset;
Compensation Package:
">We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, RRSP matching, and generous paid time off.
