Job Description: Director Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Supply Planning: Leads a team of managers to develop and maintain the end-to-end Network Supply Plans for the assigned Alkermes products.
  2. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Oversees the monthly S&OP Supply Planning process, including the Monthly Supply Review meeting.
  3. Inventory Management: Ensures risk-based inventory management strategies are defined, justified, and endorsed for materials and implemented across the end-to-end network.
  4. Scenario Planning: Prepares strategic 'what-if' product scenario analysis to proactively identify risks and opportunities – confirms manufacturing and supply plans are aligned to commercial demand, inventory strategy, sourcing strategy, and other requirements.
  5. Systems: Develops, maintains, and improves planning systems for current and future commercial products, working closely with Quality, Finance, and Business Process Excellence functions to ensure transaction controls and compliance are met.
  6. Annual Long-Range Planning: Coordinates the development of the 5-Year Units plan for all products assigned as well as management-level reporting for the exercise to support product network strategy and life-cycle management.
  7. Operations:
    • Supply: Develops, maintains, and improves processes to assure timely delivery of materials including Raw Materials, Excipients, API, Drug Product, Packaging Components, and Finished Goods in accordance with Commercial requirements.
    • Supplier Relationship Management: Responsible to ensure full supply chain support for the SRM program to execute the Network Supply Plan at internal and external suppliers.
    • Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE): Leads for Supply Chain within the External Operations S&OE and/or Operations S&OE processes as required.
    • Performance Management: Responsible for supply chain KPIs reporting, analysis, and improvement for the products assigned. Supports achievement of operational key performance targets. Responsible to drive improvements in supply chain KPI systems and reporting.
    • Budget: Leads budget and quarterly Flash update processes for Commercial Supply Chain.
    • Purchasing: Executes the purchasing function for External Operations in line with department procedures and procurement policies.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12+ years of work experience, or a Master's in a Supply Chain or Business-related field and 9+ years of work experience.
