GKI is recruiting for a Director of Supply Chain. This position will report to the CEO.

The Director of Supply Chain will serve as a strategic business partner and operational leader, driving the planning, execution, and optimization of GKI's end-to-end supply chain functions. This includes sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, vendor relations, and distribution. The Director will play a critical role in ensuring product availability, managing Food Cost, and supporting the company's rapid growth and scalability.

This position is full-time and currently remote-based but will transition to an office-based role once offices are secured.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategic Leadership: Build relationships and partner with the Executive Team to align supply chain operations with business priorities and growth strategies.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Design and implement scalable supply chain strategies, ensuring timely procurement, cost-efficiency, and effective inventory management.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other external partners to ensure quality, reliability, and cost control.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning and control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and disruptions.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Lead sourcing initiatives, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure consistent availability of high-quality products and materials.
- Logistics Coordination: Direct logistics and distribution activities, including the movement of goods between warehouses, suppliers, and kitchen locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with kitchen-level franchisees to streamline supply chain operations, including equipment and food product sourcing.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize the overall cost of goods sold (COGS) while maintaining quality standards.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage data analytics and forecasting to anticipate demand, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain performance.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure supply chain operations comply with applicable regulations, safety standards, and sustainability practices.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of supply chain practices in the food, hospitality, or CPG industries. Experience with multi-brand operations is a significant asset.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Vendor Management: Skilled in developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendor performance.
- Process Improvement: Expertise in designing and implementing processes for efficiency, cost control, and scalability.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of food safety, transportation, and import/export regulations in Canada and the U.S.
- Analytical Thinking: Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, anticipate challenges, and make informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills to foster collaboration and drive results across multiple stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Flexible and agile in responding to the evolving needs of a growing business.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with experience in a leadership role.
- **Experience with fast-paced, high-growth food service or restaurant business.**
