The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, with a strong understanding of the hotel industry and its challenges. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing and executing sales plans to achieve revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients
- Identify new business opportunities and develop sales plans to achieve revenue growth
- Represent the hotel at various events and exhibitions
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements
Minimum two (2) years' experience in the Marriott brand hotel in the Sales Department
Certificate / Degree in Business or Hospitality Management an asset
Proficient in English language, both written and oral
Excellent prioritization, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Knowledgeable about social media platforms and their functionality
Enthusiastic and self-starting personality with an even disposition
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office applications)
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the company, external organizations and suppliers
Resourceful with ability to pay close attention to detail, prioritize tasks, work under pressure to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision
Experience/knowledge within the GTA/Southwestern Ontario market is an asset
Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
