About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence, and individuality.
  • Foster an atmosphere that supports optimal care and effective functioning of the care unit through collaboration with other team members.
  • Liaise with medical team members, nurse specialists, and consultants to support effective clinical care for all residents.
  • Demonstrate professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year experience in Geriatric, Rehabilitation, Retirement, or Long Term Care as a Registered Practical Nurse.
