Job Summary:

The Clinical Social Work Manager is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled Social Workers in all program areas and subspecialties across the University of Alberta Campus. This position requires strong clinical skills in social work, including knowledge of appropriate community resources, supports and legislation required of the role. The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in Social Work, with a Master's degree preferred. Active registration with Alberta College of Social Workers is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide clinical leadership to ensure quality Social Work services
- Provide specialized clinical expertise and strong leadership to frontline staff
- Coach team members to achieve comprehensive and integrated care planning
- Promote the development of clinical practice quality improvements, implement evidence-based practice and critically assess, evaluate, anticipate and address risks to patient and staff safety

Requirements:

- Baccalaureate degree in Social Work required, Master's preferred
- Active registration with Alberta College of Social Workers
- Experience in acute and critical care is essential, preferably in an acute tertiary level facility
- Strong clinical skills in social work, including knowledge of appropriate community resources, supports and legislation required of the role
