About the Role

The ScotiaMcLeod Branch Manager is a key leadership position responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences. As a seasoned professional, you will lead a team of advisors to achieve sales growth and profitability goals, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute branch business plans and growth strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Lead and coach the branch team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with senior stakeholders, advisors, and external partners.
  • Oversee compliance management and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the branch profit plan, including revenue planning, expenditures, and client experience initiatives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management advisory, with a proven track record of business development and leadership.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of sales management techniques and a proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Post-graduate business degree (e.g. MBA) and a CFA (or equivalent experience) considered an asset.
  • Requisite professional courses to be registered as an Officer/Director (PDO, CSC, Branch Manager, CPH, Options).
