About the Role

At ScotiaMcLeod, we are seeking a Senior Financial Planning Associate to join our team of wealth management professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial planning support to our dedicated Wealth Advisor team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively support the financial planning needs of our clients, including deep discovery, plan preparation, and presentation delivery.
  • Build financial plans that address clients' immediate and future goals and objectives.
  • Provide alternative scenarios or solutions when clients are unable to meet goals.
  • Identify and communicate referral opportunities to advisors.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional practice by participating in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls.

Requirements

  • CFP Designation required.
  • In-depth understanding of comprehensive financial planning, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
  • College or University degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
