Role Overview

As a Lead Investment Advisor at ScotiaMcLeod, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve peace of mind by providing investment solutions that align with their risk profile and investment objectives. You will be responsible for transitioning clients from branches, ensuring client documentation is up to date, and making referrals to other bank partners when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring client transfers are efficient and responding to client requests, inquiries, and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Offer sound and appropriate investment advice to clients to meet their investment objectives, adhering to all firm and regulatory policies.
  • Generate revenue through the development of client relationships, identifying opportunities to gather additional assets from existing clients, and promoting products and services available to the National Branch.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain compliant financial strategies by preparing financial solutions that service clients' goals and objectives, displaying a high level of integrity and professionalism in all dealings.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the National Branch team by building effective working relationships, facilitating open and honest communication, and actively participating in branch and team meetings.
  • Provide strong team leadership to motivate and develop individual and team performance, fostering a positive team environment, driving employee empowerment, and innovation.
  • Be responsible for service, maintenance, and advice to Group plan clientele, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all group plans and the unique features, and providing guidance and supervision to the Group Administrative Assistant.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Representative within the CIRO.
  • Fluently bilingual in French & English is an asset.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a sales, relationship, or account management role.
  • Proficient in trading and account management systems.
  • Experience providing investment advice to clients is preferred.
  • University education is preferred.
