Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Homewood Health Centre Inc. in Guelph, Ontario. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in our inpatient Women's Trauma and Concurrent Program.

About the Role:
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the Women's Trauma and Concurrent Program.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications as needed, and provide education to patients and their families on medication management.
  • Participate in group programming, including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), substance use recovery processing, and relapse prevention.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
