We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Homewood Health Centre, a leading provider of medically focused, evidence-based treatment of mental health and addiction disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical psychiatric care to patients, including admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and discharge.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including nursing, social work, occupational therapy, and recreational therapy, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Manage complex psychiatric disorders and comorbid mental health and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Provide ongoing supervision and management of clinical/patient care, including daily rounds and individual assessments.
- Specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent body.
- Experience with diagnosis and management of complex psychiatric disorders and comorbid mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong ability to negotiate and influence, with proven critical thinking, analysis, and complex problem-solving skills.
