About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Solar Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding our commercial solar portfolio, engaging with prospects, designing customized solar systems, overcoming objections, and closing sales. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong relationships-building skills, excellent communication, and negotiation abilities.

  • Sales Targets: Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by identifying new customers through networking, road shows, and industry events.
  • Pipeline Growth: Contribute to the growth of our commercial solar pipeline by efficiently managing your sales pipeline and working closely with the team.
  • Lead Conversion: Respond to inbound commercial leads generated by our marketing activity and manage relationships with prospects from initial discussions to successful installations.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth installation process.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with solar product specifications through manufacturer-led training and champion the Future West Solar brand and services propositions at customer-facing events.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities in the commercial solar sector.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct presentations and site evaluations to assess customer needs and determine the best solar solution.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and other sales materials.
  • Manage customer communications and expectations throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for an established professional with a track record of success in commercial solar sales. Our ideal candidate will be confident in discussing solar products, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, and possess excellent communication and negotiation abilities. A deep knowledge of solar products and ability to explain them to prospects is essential. Proficiency in negotiation, both written and verbal, is also required.

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on commercial sales (solar energy solutions an asset).
  • General understanding of tax advantages revolving the purchase of assets from a business standpoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
