Day Server Opportunity at The Wickaninnish Inn

The Wickaninnish Inn, a renowned Relais & Chateaux property and Forbes, AAA 4-Diamond Resort, seeks a skilled Day Server to join its esteemed Restaurant Team. Located in a stunning coastal setting, our establishment is dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of belonging.

Compensation: $16.75 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for an individual who embodies the art of hospitality and pursues excellence in every aspect of their role. As a Day Server, you will be responsible for delivering personalized guest service that meets and exceeds industry standards. This includes ensuring efficient table management, guiding guests through food and beverage options, and accurately describing menu items. Effective communication with the culinary team and timely order execution are also essential duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure seamless guest interactions, adhering to Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond, and Forbes Standards.
  • Lead by example, contributing positively to the restaurant team's dynamics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings and provide expert recommendations to guests.
  • Accurately process orders using Silverware POS and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and serve specialty coffees, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Previous experience in a fine dining environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits, with a willingness to expand your expertise.
  • An appreciation for detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Valid Serving It Right Certification and a self-motivation to continually improve your knowledge of wines and spirits.
