Director, Indigenous Pathways and Academic Partnerships

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Indigenous Pathways and Academic Partnerships. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping the future of Indigenous student pathways at Simon Fraser University.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for Indigenous student pathways, working closely with senior leadership and faculty partners.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders to advance Indigenous education initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of staff and students to support the development and delivery of Indigenous student programs and services.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and departments to develop curriculum and academic programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported throughout their university experience.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Education or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Indigenous education, program development, and community engagement.
  • Proven track record of building successful partnerships and collaborations with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
