Recovery Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Recovery Specialist at Homewood Health, Canada's leading service provider for medically focused, evidence-based treatment of mental health and addiction disorders.

About the Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional, cognitive, and return-to-work readiness assessments to inform personalized recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and provide individualized Occupational Therapy interventions.
  • Facilitate group sessions on topics such as discharge planning, activity re-engagement, and return-to-work preparation.
  • Develop and prioritize individual caseloads while maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reports.
  • Participate in program rounds and contribute to program development and evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Experience working with individuals with diagnoses of PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and comorbidities.
  • Familiarity with facilitating therapeutic groups (DBT or CBT preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with supporting individuals in discharge planning, including goal setting and creating daily structures.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
