We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at the Simon Jacob Memorial Education Centre in Webequie First Nation.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students from Kindergarten to Grade 11. As a teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education while promoting a sense of pride in heritage among students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach grade 8 and high school subjects
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Foster a supportive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Membership in good standing with OCT or ability to register
  • Special Education qualifications
  • 3 years of successful teaching experience
  • Appreciation and understanding of Aboriginal culture and traditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience living in northern communities and working in First Nation schools
What We Offer

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
