Education Support Specialist for Indigenous Youth

We are seeking a skilled Education Support Specialist to join our team at the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As an integral part of our Anishinabek Employment & Training Services, you will play a vital role in supporting Indigenous youth through education and social services.
About the PositionThis is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $53,500 per year, based on 35 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services and/or a degree in Social Services, or equivalent experience in an educational or social services environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating educational workshops and services, as well as providing support to Indigenous youth in their academic journey. You will also be expected to engage with community partners, develop reports and documents, and manage cases and files effectively.
