Job Summary:

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is seeking a highly skilled Organizational Development Specialist to drive corporate-wide initiatives that enhance the employee experience and organizational culture.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the research, design, development, and implementation of organizational development initiatives and solutions.
  • Proactively assess and diagnose organizational needs relative to the strategic needs of the business.
  • Apply a systems thinking approach to problem-solving when developing a solution or recommendation.
  • Align organizational development solutions to the WSIB's Corporate Strategy, People strategy, organizational values, and competencies.
  • Use evidence and analytical insights to forecast trends and provide advice/recommendations on organizational development programs and solutions.
Key Initiatives:
  • Corporate recognition program
  • Employee Experience survey and Enterprise action planning
  • Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Performance Management program
  • Corporate Values and competencies
  • Onboarding and off-boarding processes (including exit surveying)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., HR Management, Applied behavioural sciences, industrial organizational psychology) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CHRL
  • 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a focus on building organizational effectiveness and culture.
  • Experience in Performance Management, Engagement survey and action planning, Recognitions programs, On-off boarding programs, and Internal consultation experience working with leaders.
  • Project management experience.
  • Political acuity and ability to communicate complex ideas in a persuasive and compelling manner.
