At Northern Health, we are proud to offer a unique opportunity for an Anesthesiology specialist to join our team in Fort St John. Located in the heart of northeastern British Columbia, Fort St John is a thriving community with a strong economy and excellent quality of life.

We have a new state-of-the-art 55-bed hospital serving a population of approximately 23,000, with a catchment area of approximately 70,000. Our hospital provides a range of services including:

  • 24/7 Emergency Department
  • Day surgery
  • Acute care
  • Community cancer centre
  • Community hemodialysis
  • Visiting specialists clinic
  • Prenatal clinic

In addition to these services, we also have an endoscopy suite, 2 state-of-the-art operating rooms, plus a procedure room, ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis, medical and surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds), and 3 Intensive care units.

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiology specialist who can provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an Anesthesiology specialist at Northern Health, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing pain management services to patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $250,000 and $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes relocation funding of up to $15,000 to assist with your move to Fort St John.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Anesthesiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
