We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Coast Capital. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Coordinate and oversee facilities-related renovation projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Provide professional and friendly service to internal employees and customers, responding to their needs and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with office space reconfiguration, staff moves, and physical renovations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of facilities-related activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve facilities management and maintenance processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities management or a related trade.
  • High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses).
  • Recognized training courses in technical skills and trades that apply to facilities management and building operations.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver's License, possessing and maintaining a responsible and safe driving record.
  • Broad construction or facilities maintenance-related work experience, with a strong understanding of building systems and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
