Job Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for implementing and adhering to best practices around facility maintenance at Phoenix Society sites. This full-time position conducts and coordinates routine and non-routine maintenance activities, providing oversight to ensure safety and efficient work activities.

Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance

  • Promotes a welcoming environment, maintaining a positive demeanor when interacting with residents, guests, and staff.
  • Ensures facilities meet licensing and safety standards.
  • Provides maintenance repairs and project coordination, ensuring work is planned and executed safely and efficiently.
  • Works with supervisors and management teams to document and align processes for outside services.
  • Liaises with contractors for site work beyond the scope of the Phoenix maintenance team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a Facilities Technician program.
  • Driver's License: Class 5 license accompanied by a suitable driver's abstract.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fluent and able to effectively communicate professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Computer: proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and database management.
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with diverse personalities and communicate professionally and respectfully with all levels of the organization.

Salary: $26.14 to $27.86 per hour.
