Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to join our operations team at Coast Capital Savings. As a key member of our Facilities Management Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional service to our employees and customers, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete approved service requests, including maintenance and repair tasks, within scope and budget.
  • Manage facilities-related renovation projects, coordinating with various trades and stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide professional service to internal employees and customers, resolving facilities issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including WHMIS and Worksafe BC regulations.
  • Collaborate with office and branch staff to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and with minimal disruption.
  • Source and negotiate goods and services required for facilities projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Operate equipment safely and securely, adhering to Coast Capital Savings policy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities management or a related trade.
  • High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses).
  • Recognized training courses in technical skills and trades related to facilities management and building operations.
  • Valid British Columbia Driver's License, with a responsible and safe driving record.
  • Broad construction or facilities maintenance-related work experience, with a self-starter mentality and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills for resolving maintenance and repair-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deal cooperatively and communicate effectively with people in various circumstances.
