The Role

We are seeking a talented Labour and Employment Lawyer to join our busy Labour and Employment Law Practice Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising employer clients on a range of workplace issues, including employment standards, human rights, and workplace investigations. You will also assist senior lawyers with collective bargaining, union certification, and grievance arbitrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising employer clients on employment standards, human rights, and workplace investigations
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment documents, including employment agreements and termination letters
  • Representing clients in litigation at various levels of court and before tribunals
  • Assisting senior lawyers with collective bargaining, union certification, and grievance arbitrations
Requirements
  • Member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • At least 1 year of employment and/or labour law experience
  • Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a high volume of work and be self-motivated
