Job Description

Sarata Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our design and manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of mechanical systems and processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions to ensure efficient production workflows.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair of machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to inspect mechanical installations and construction projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Support the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Develop designs for moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Leverage computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate models and simulations.
  • Evaluate costs and materials, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts and tenders, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain standards and schedules, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Test machines and equipment, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
