Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaper to join our team at DBA CLAY-NOR Lawn & Garden. As a key member of our landscape maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure they remain healthy and intact.
  • Weed, prune and trim trees and plants to maintain their appearance and promote growth.
  • Cut grass regularly to keep lawns looking neat and well-manicured.
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep outdoor spaces clean and free of debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage to prevent harm to plants and wildlife.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed to support plant growth.
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush, green lawns.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees to add color and texture to outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote plant growth and health.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to inform management of tasks completed and any challenges faced.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to keep them healthy and thriving.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including chain saws, pick-up trucks, roto-tillers, small engine equipment, and tractor mowers.
  • Assist with tree removal when necessary.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and identify potential hazards.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing weather conditions.
