Landscape Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Worker to join our team at CLAY-NOR Lawn & Garden. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Cut grass to maintain a well-manicured lawn
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance our outdoor spaces
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush and vibrant lawns
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add color and beauty to our outdoor spaces
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep our team informed
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and well-being
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
  • Tree removal to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
  • Ability to maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions
  • Ability to walk and bend, crouch, and kneel
