Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transporter to join our Emergency Department team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Emergency Department, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to medical imaging and in-patient floors in a timely and efficient manner
  • Transport laboratory samples and specimens to the lab, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Respond to emergency situations, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Observe and adhere to all policies and procedures, work standards, and safety regulations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient transportation and logistics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and navigate through crowded areas
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
