Job Summary
The North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transporter to join our Emergency Department team. As a Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Emergency Department by transporting patients to medical imaging and in-patient floors, transporting laboratory samples and specimens to the lab, and responding to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients to medical imaging and in-patient floors in a timely and efficient manner
- Transport laboratory samples and specimens to the lab, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Respond to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
- Observe and adhere to all policies and procedures, work standards, and safety regulations
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and improve processes
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Experience in continuous heavy lifting and processing of documentation through the use of computers
