Job Title: Chief Financial Operations Officer

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic company as a Chief Financial Operations Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including accounting, finance, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing Financial Data: The Chief Financial Operations Officer will analyze financial data to provide sound business recommendations that support the company's growth objectives.
  • Accounting Standards and Tax Regulations: This role requires staying up-to-date with accounting standards and tax regulations to ensure compliance and optimal financial performance.
  • Financial Leadership: The successful candidate will provide strong financial leadership and accountability for the team, ensuring effective management of resources.
  • Daily Business Operations: Overseeing daily business operations, improving processes and procedures to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Pricing and Costing Strategies: Ownership and management of pricing and costing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Productivity and Performance: Evaluating productivity and performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Support Audits and Financial Reporting: Supporting audits and financial reporting to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Staffing-Related Functions: Overseeing all staffing-related functions, including HR responsibilities, to maintain a high-performing team.
  • ERP System Management: Maintaining and updating the ERP system to ensure seamless financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Senior Accounting Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience managing employees in a senior role, preferably in accounting and finance.
  • Senior Finance Position Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a senior accounting and finance position.
  • Certifications: CPA designation required; CMA is an asset.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Food Industry Experience: Experience in the food industry is an asset.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Business Planning Skills: Strategic business planning skills.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
