About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Sales Leader to join our team at Danfoss GmbH as Head of Sales and Business Development for our Drives business in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate an effective sales organization through coaching, training, and professional development.
  • Lead by example and foster a growth mindset within the team.
  • Ensure the Danfoss team is perceived as the most attractive supplier by customer decision-makers.
  • Achieve sales growth through business development and customer focus in Canada.
  • Expand business opportunities in HVAC, Water, Oil & Gas, and Electrification in Energy & Marine.
  • Adapt global strategies to a local Canada strategy.
  • Implement and execute a local strategy with the Canadian team and close collaboration with US/North American focused industry teams.
  • Develop a Go-To-Market strategy for industry verticals to ensure strong growth and market leadership.
  • Build a strong distribution partner network dedicated to focus industries.
  • Lead and motivate employees based on company values and personal example.
  • Provide input on business segment and product strategies, portfolio priorities, and product adaptations.
  • Optimize resource utilization to support growth in Canada.
  • Ensure the value proposition of Danfoss Drives is implemented and lived throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in business or a technical field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of management experience in sales, with a focus on AC Drives or Industrial Automation products and solutions.
  • Experience in managing a significant turnover and commercial team, leading through others.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization.
  • Capacity to learn from others and adopt best practices.
  • Ambition for the business and personal growth.
  • Fluency in written and oral English and French.
  • Hunter mindset with a passion for selling AC Drives and customer interaction.
  • Proven track record of substantial business sales successes in Canada.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience in sales from the drives industry or industrial automation field.
  • Ability to work and lead in a matrix, with mastery of strategic sales tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop people.
