Job Description

At North York General Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Personal Care Services department of the Seniors' Health Centre.

As a Clinical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan resident care needs, delivering skilled procedures and medication administration according to the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
  • Supervise care given by Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) and Personal Support Workers (PSW), promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Participate in the accreditation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, residents, families, and healthcare professionals, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience in rehabilitation or long-term nursing preferred.
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with computerized documentation, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.

What We Offer:

A highly competitive total compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan. This is a full-time temporary position, with 8-hour shifts, evenings, and weekends in the Personal Care Services department of the Seniors' Health Centre.
