**Job Summary**

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Acute Care is a key role at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to join our team and make a significant contribution to the care of our patients. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Acute Care, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including our acute care units. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement nursing care plans that meet the individual needs of patients
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to nursing practice
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification
  • At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience
  • Recent cardiology experience an asset
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent
