Learning Services, Casual Instructor AideWe are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Learning Services team as Casual Instructor Aides. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students' academic success by providing personalized guidance and instruction.
Responsibilities:- Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students across various subjects and learning modalities (online, drop-in, appointment-based, workshops).
- Assist students in developing effective learning strategies and study skills within both online and face-to-face environments.
- Collaborate with Learning Services Instructors and program instructors to ensure alignment with course expectations and provide tailored support to diverse learners, including those from equity groups and English language learners.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment that fosters student confidence, knowledge acquisition, and skill development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in mentorship and training sessions to enhance your professional growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in subject-specific content areas and online tutoring.
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a tutor in an online learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency in using technology, including the internet, email, MS Office Suite, and adaptability to new software applications.
- Commitment to valuing diversity and inclusivity.
