Structural Engineering Professional for Industrial Buildings

At Stantec Consulting International Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Fredericton. As an industrial buildings specialist, you will be responsible for developing designs and plans for various structures, including power generation and transmission facilities, oil and gas infrastructure, mining operations, food and beverage production plants, and composite wood products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed structural designs and plans using industry-standard software suites, such as STAAD.Pro, SAFI, and SAP 2000
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including site plans, general equipment arrangements, conceptual and detailed structural developments, and construction-level assembly information
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Perform calculations and analyses using company-standard software and proprietary manufacturer software
  • Conduct on-site design services and field support, ensuring compliance with Stantec's quality control guidelines and EH&S program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Canada with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in industrial buildings and structures
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard structural analysis software, Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
