As a leading financial institution in Canada, our client is seeking a highly skilled Payment Transformation Specialist to join their team in Toronto.



Job Overview

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking bank dedicated to delivering exceptional payment services to our clients. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving our deposit sub-ledger capabilities, ensuring seamless integration of payments services with correspondent account processing, and driving deposit transformation.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement payment data mapping and canonical models to support payment data management.
  • Collaborate with the payments team to design and implement payment systems and methods, including Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, and FedWire.
  • Design and implement regulatory reporting, including EFTR Fintrac, sanction screening, and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of non-wire payment methods, including drafts and checks.
  • Work closely with the deposit team to design and implement deposit sub-ledger capabilities, including account management, transaction posting, multi-currency handling, interest calculations, and liquidity management.
  • Provide expertise on various accounts, including Nostro, Vostro, and Corporate Customer accounts.


Requirements

This role requires a strong background in project management, product ownership, and testing practices, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry. A certification in PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is an asset. Additionally, you should have experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping.
