We're looking for experienced Senior Water Resource Specialists in Calgary to join our Environment & Water – Geo-environmental team.

Job Description

This role involves working on various water resource projects, including developing and implementing groundwater investigations; designing and installing water wells; conducting aquifer testing (slug, step, and pump testing); developing conceptual site models; risk assessment and management projects; and more.

  • Design field investigation programs, collect and analyze data, communicate with clients and contractors.
  • Oversee borehole drilling and logging, well installation, and maintenance of groundwater wells, hydraulic well testing, and surface and groundwater sampling.
  • Prepare and review technical reports.
  • Contribute to business growth through proposal writing and industry contacts.
  • Manage work schedules, control budgets, and work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or geosciences (Master's degree is preferred).
  • Familiarity with provincial regulations and project management skills.
  • Strong work experience in field-based investigations in physical hydrogeology, groundwater supply, and hydrogeological assessments.
  • Demonstrated competency in soil and rock sampling, geotechnical soil and core logging, drilling, test pitting, well installations, water quality sampling, and hydraulic response tests.
  • Groundwater analysis using AquiferTest or AQTESOLV.
  • Occasional travel required, candidates must be prepared for site visits.
  • Desire to mentor team members in the office and field.
