We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our health department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health sciences, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in managing teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective health programs that meet the needs of our community.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the health department, including budgeting and funding.
  • Lead and manage a team of health professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of health services provided.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on health department activities.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Health Sciences, Social Services, or a related field of study.
  • Successful completion (or willingness to complete) the First Nations Health Directors Association Certificate program.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a health setting, preferably in an Anishinaabe community.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience, including recruitment, career planning, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
