The YMCA of Greater Toronto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health Services Manager to join our team at YMCA Camp Pine Crest. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our campers and staff.

About the Job:

  • Provide leadership and support for the mental and physical health of the Pine Crest community.
  • Oversight of health and wellness checks, first aid assessments, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with Out-Tripping Directors to address health concerns during outdoor adventures.
  • Foster a culture of problem-solving and teamwork among wellness staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to both inexperienced and seasoned staff.
  • Lead the staff team, supporting the Camp Director and Coordinator in health and wellness training.
  • Support campers and staff in having a positive experience at camp through regular check-ins.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the camp wellness programs.

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in post-secondary education such as Nursing, Child and Youth Studies, or Social Work.
  • G Class license and Mental Health First Aid certification by the first day of employment.
  • Previous experience working with children and youth in a professional wellness setting.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently to achieve optimal collective results.
