Project Controls Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Terminals and Energy Transition programs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide analytical services in partnership with project management, ensuring that proper cost structures, procedures, and controls are in place for each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accumulate and compile accurate cost management data on a monthly basis to prepare the project report and update the project progress.
  • Aid in the development of cost control/scheduling procedures, execution plans, and business plans for projects.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasts on all projects, identifying trends and making recommendations for corrective courses of action.
  • Participate in weekly project cost reviews/schedule meetings and project kickoffs.
  • Engage in monthly reviews with key vendors and maintain the established project cost/schedule program.
  • Develop and implement a change management system for engineering and construction in conjunction with project management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent business-related work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for engineering and construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products, with experience in Oracle, IBM Cognos analytics, or TM1 being an asset.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is also an asset.
