At 09 Irving Oil Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing refinery control system configurations by implementing new automation and protection systems and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative and complex system integration, automation and control logic and safeguarding logic to enhance performance of the Refinery.
- Lead the implementation of those solutions through various development phases and manage the automation scope of workflow and project packages.
- Execute maintenance and improvement activities for process automation and protection systems including configuration and programming activities.
- Monitor automation system performance and develop solutions for optimization and to help improve efficiency.
- Provide guidance to multi-discipline project and operations teams and helps support engineering teams develop work packages through providing design input and supporting HAZOP & LOPA activities.
- 10+ years of experience in IT including 5+ years industrial environment (refining preferred)
- Experience with OT systems such as Honeywell Experion and TPS DCS, Rockwell PLCs, SIS & Machinery Monitoring Systems
- Experience with automation system and computer hardware troubleshooting, repair and replacement
- Experience configuring and supporting OT networking and firewalls
- Experience in cybersecurity and best practices in OT environments
- Experience with Microsoft Windows active directory
