With a strong presence in the global energy market, DOF Subsea offers a wide range of subsea services, including survey, construction, and IRM support.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project mobilization.
  • Coordinate and manage the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels.
  • Ensure a full understanding of the data flow from calibration at project mobilization, through logging, and quality control of all data.
  • Develop project procedures and assist in project preparation.
  • Manage project work scope and adhere to contractual aspects of the project offshore.
  • Manage, guide, and supervise the offshore survey team.
  • Ensure work is performed with adequate equipment and personnel.
  • Ensure all personnel meet company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety.
  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager.
  • Liaise with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew.
  • Manage subcontractor field teams.
  • Responsible for carrying out offshore appraisals and encouraging team development.
  • Accountable for delegating responsibility in accordance with company procedures, when appropriate.
  • Complete daily/end of project reporting.
  • Responsible for offshore QHSE.
  • Implement and maintain survey standards throughout offshore operations.
  • A full appreciation of survey deliverables is required to ensure all data is backed up and submitted to the Project Manager/Onshore team in agreed DOF Subsea formats.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure a complete understanding of the commercial impact of all decisions made offshore.

Requirements

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics degree or similar education.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Surveyor.
  • Key experience in acting Party Chief or Party Chief duties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator, reader, and writer.
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting.
  • Leadership Communication.
