Job Title: Survey ET/IT Technician

DOF Subsea is a world-class offshore construction support, survey, and IRM contractor.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused individual for the position of Survey Electronics/Information Technology Technician. A key to success for this position is the ability to collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations.
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment; provide inventory listings, and equipment fault reports.
  • Responsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as the project maintenance of survey equipment and systems.
  • Manage all survey/ROV interface cables.
  • Notify the Party Chief/Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment.
  • Commission, calibrate, and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief.
  • Ensure the safe operation of survey equipment and systems.
  • Accountable for the offshore tracking of project equipment and for the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment.
  • Support the on-line surveyor during operations.
  • Maintain equipment logs and inventories.
  • Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams.
  • Monitor instruction and performance of other junior technicians.
  • Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Party Chief.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Electronics, IT, Hydrographic Survey, or Geomatics.
  • Experience within Oil & Gas/Renewables Industry is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
