Job Title: Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team at DOF Subsea Canada. As a Surveyor, you will play a critical role in supporting our offshore construction support, survey, and IRM operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain survey-related equipment, including the collection and recording of high-quality survey data.
  • Support the coordination of activities with the vessel and/or ROV crew to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate survey logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment, ensuring all equipment is properly secured and sea-fastened.
  • Monitor real-time displays, examine calibration data, and maintain communication with other survey personnel to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Support the mobilization and demobilization of the survey vessel, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Identify and report any deficiencies, damaged equipment, or safety hazards, using the appropriate reporting system.
  • Provide key data and information to the Senior Surveyor/Party Chief for the preparation of survey reports.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient and effective operations, providing suggestions for improvements to teamwork and operational techniques.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics degree or similar education.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience as a Surveyor in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
