At DOF Subsea, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Survey Electronics/Information Technology Technician. This role is a key part of our offshore operations, and the successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining survey equipment, troubleshooting faulty equipment, and ensuring the safe operation of survey systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations.
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment; provide inventory listings, and equipment fault reports.
  • Responsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as the project maintenance of survey equipment and systems.
  • Manage all survey/ROV interface cables.
  • Notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment.
  • Commission, calibrate and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief.
  • Ensure the safe operation of survey equipment and systems.
  • Accountable for the offshore tracking of project equipment and for the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment.
  • Support the on-line surveyor during operations.
  • Maintain equipment logs and inventories.
  • Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams.
  • Monitor instruction and performance of other junior technicians.
  • Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Party Chief.

Requirements:

  • Post Secondary Education in Electronics, IT, Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics.
  • Experience within Oil & Gas/Renewables Industry is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
