Job Title: Survey Party Chief

Challenger Geomatics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. As a Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for collecting data in the field and working closely with our experienced project managers on a variety of survey assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field surveys and ensure all client objectives are met.
  • Provide necessary documentation to office staff, including field notes, computations, and other survey data.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Perform all health and safety duties as identified in the company's safety procedures.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS/GNSS Rovers, Total Stations, Locators, etc.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Geomatics or related discipline, along with previous survey experience.
  • Experience in the energy sector or construction is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Any valid safety certificates are an asset (i.e. H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Wildlife Awareness).
  • Physical fitness to work outside in tough conditions, often carrying equipment long distances.
